The Roswell Museum & Art Center Foundation is a nonprofit organization established to support and enhance the mission of the Roswell Museum through private funding and community partnerships. Since 1987, the Foundation has worked to secure resources for exhibitions, educational programs, facility improvements, and the care of the Museum’s collections.

Guided by a volunteer board of directors, the Foundation plays a vital role in ensuring the Museum remains a dynamic cultural and educational resource for southeastern New Mexico—today and for future generations.

the road to recovery

In October 2024, Roswell experienced a devastating flood that submerged the Museum under more than five feet of water, damaging infrastructure and affecting approximately 12,000 items in the collection. While we continue to offer programs at alternative locations, the Museum remains closed for recovery. We are committed to rebuilding and restoring the facility and collections, and we need your support to make this possible. Each donation helps us recover, rebuild, and restore, ensuring that the Museum remains a vital resource for our community and visitors for generations to come.
